Auckland City of Music (ACOM) is a connector. It is the glue across Auckland’s musical cultures, ecologies, organisations, people and policy makers and a critical function is to connect musical whānau to each other, and to the world.

We brought together key music sector and Council stakeholders to prepare a successful application to join the global UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

Our role in this included:
Building the business case, preparing application and pitching material, organising support from notable musicians, delivery of the proposal to Council’s Governing Body, project management and deployment of the project across multi-year outcomes, development of comprehensive music strategy, management of stakeholder engagement, delivery of a 4-year summary report (2021), subsequent redevelopment of strategy based on learnings, multiple project conceptualisation and delivery during the period (see also: Songlines, Equaliser), formation of charitable trust entity.
