Beats in Time is a permanent exhibit the new Te Puawānanga Science and Technology Centre at MOTAT. The project team spent two years researching, designing and developing the content and worked with experts across Aotearoa and beyond to create a space that offers hands-on learning for all ages and is uniquely and distinctly of this place.

The Beats in Time area enables audiences to select various historical music devices and listen to audio from the corresponding eras. We were called upon to broker the publishing & master right licensing of these tracks. We also contributed sound recording artwork and devices for display in the exhibit.

We were also asked to put together a playlist for the official opening featuring New Zealand artists spanning the exhibit timeline. You can listen to the Spoftify playlist HERE.
