Equaliser (EQ) is a global gender equality programme developed by several UNESCO Cities of Music to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030. The programme is ‘open source’ allowing cities to develop and execute programmes as befits their local conditions. In Auckland this was manifested as a grants and networking project. 3 women musicians were paired with 3 women directors to produce music videos. The pairs then discussed their projects and processes at a networking event that allowed other directors and musicians to be introduced to one another and build a community of creative professionals.

Our role included:
Conceptualisation of the project; development of the local and global branding; sourcing of external funders and project management oversight.
